We are glad to inform you that we finally have a starting date for the SOLACI/CACI 2021 Congress.
To this date, and after two years of work, over 3112 participants, will have the opportunity of assessing the results that will be presented for the first time.
On behalf of all those who have been a part of the Scientific Committee and have collaborated writing the Scientific Program, physicians, technicians, and personnel from the scientific secretary, we wish to express our gratitude especially for the invaluable work done by Carolina Palavicini, Ezequiel Rivero, and Juan Ventura.
On this special issue of RACI we publish a very abridged version compared to our usual length including the abstracts that will be presented in their different modalities at the congress.
A total of 351 manuscripts were finally accepted in the modalities of oral and/or poster presentation. A total of 300 of these 351 studies are being published in this issue of RACI.
Most manuscripts have been submitted from our region. However, the figure attached shows the high-quality manuscripts submitted from regions like Europe, Asia, and North America including the United States and Canada. The figure shows the number of manuscripts submitted per country.
The Scientific Program is completed with joint sessions with some of the best scientific societies in the field from our country, the United States, Europe, and Asia.
As we already anticipated in the last RACI issue on the SOLACI/CACI Congress, in addition to the joint sessions often held between TCT (United States) and PCR (Europe), this year, and for the very first time in our country, we will have the opportunity to enjoy joint sessions among SCAI (United States), CCI (United States), CRT (United States), IAGS (United States), and CBS (China) as the lead scientific societies. All these societies have the highest academic value, and there is no doubt that they will elevate the scientific level of the congress. Also, it is the express wish of our organization to promote the international relations among these societies in the coming future.
Finally, we wish to express our gratitude to Dr. Jose Amadeo Alvarez, and Dr. Carla Agatiello for being available 24 hours a day for the last 730 days to bring this Scientific Program to life.
