My dear Latin American colleagues, friends, and partners,

It is an honor, a great privilege to welcome you all from Argentina to the most important scientific meeting in Interventional Cardiology in Latin America, and one of the most prestigious ones across the world: the SOLACI-CACI Congress.

We would have loved to welcome you all in-person in our home country in Buenos Aires, Argentina in such a special event. However, due to the COVID-19 worldwide pandemic and the health regulations and restrictions effective in Argentina we have been unable to do so.

Despite the support from SOLACI Board of Directors (BD) and the unselfish support from the Mexican Society of Interventional Cardiology (SoCiME)—whose support I truly appreciate—unfortunately the possibility of holding the congress in-person by moving dates from 2020 to 2021 has not become a reality. However, knowing all the colleagues who have worked so hard in the scientific and organizing committees, as well as SOLACI BD and the administrative, event personnel, and other people involved, there is no doubt in my mind that the congress online version will be an absolute success.

The tremendous scientific program we have prepared, the joint sessions with partner scientific societies across the world, and the very interesting and challenging abstracts and case reports that will presented will bring success to this digital congress same as it always as happened with its on-site version.

I truly believe that next year will see each other again, this time eye to eye. It will be then that we will be able to shake our hands one more time.
