This special issue of our RACI Journal is not only shorter than usual, but also features all articles in English.
In spite of our Editorial policies –under which all manuscripts submitted to us can be published in Spanish and/or English– we routinely publish them in Spanish, but we agreed with the Associate Editors, that only in the particular case of authors native from English speaking countries, the manuscripts could be submitted in English.
But because this special issue is being released to coincide with a joint session between TCT and our College, CACI –in which CACI has had the privilege of being involved in the largest Interventional Cardiology Meeting in the world being held this year in Miami– is that we chose to publish all manuscriptsin English.
As an example of that, in the first 2012 issues, articles from California and Boston (USA) were featured in English, and in the following months we received original manuscripts from Italy and USA, and we hope that articles from foreign and well-known authors will usually be seen in RACI.
We hope that these new policies will enhance interest and popularity of the Journal with our readers.
This issue is being simultaneously released in Argentina, although there, all articles will be published in Spanish, as usual.
In this number two revision and one original articles can be seen, one of them: 5 year follow up of the ERACI III Registry, is being published simultaneously with Revista Argentina de Cardiología, after an agreement was made between Editors of the note and from both Journals. This multicenter and multinational study which has been featured several times before (JACC, EHJ, Heart, Eurointervention), had never before been printed in an Argentina journal.
Finally, on behalf of all Associate Editors and CACI Executive Committee, we thank TCT 2012 organizers for giving us this unique opportunity to share our Journal with the Latin-American cardiology community.
